We would definitely visit "My Hotel In France, Montmartre" again because of its fair price and its great location in a true neighborhood of Paris.
Just keep in mind that this is a six-story hotel and there is no elevator.
Electric Power Supply
You don't often consider the power supply and plug-in situation at a hotel until you unpack the bags and look for the places to plug in your computer, camera battery charger, toothbrush, phone, and shaver. Power outlets in an older hotel can be scarce and the small, neighborhood hotels in France can be in very old buildings. You will likely find one power outlet in the room and that for the TV.
Bring a power strip if you will use battery chargers for computer, camera, and other electrically powered devices. Universal Power strips are available to fit several types of plugs.
Plugs around the world are different. Round pins in France and Italy, rectangular pins in England, flat blades in the USA, Canada, and Mexico. Carry an adapter plug to convert the many shapes found in your travels.
Hotels in Paris will be equipped with at least one round pin recepticle. If that is for the TV or table lamp, you can plug in your adapter and then use a universal power strip to plug in the hotel lamp or TV and your power equipment.
Elevators and Escalators
Lifts are scarce in the older hotes in Paris and in much of the Metro and RER stations; travel lightly.
The hotel, My Hotel In France Montmartre is located at 57 rue des Abbesses in the 18th Arr. of Paris. This hotel offers an ideal location for a walk to the Basilique de Sacre-Coeur and other notable sightseeing places in Paris including Moulin Rouge and the Pigalle neighborhood. The Abbesses Metro station is within two blocks of the hotel and the neighborhood ambiance of Abbesses Street makes this hotel a good value for a sightseeing experience.
Note: Take the Metro station elevator if you arrive via the Abbesses Metro Station; the stairway is several flights to the street.
The Montmartre neighborhood around the hotel offers outdoor cafes and several shops including a bread shop, fruit shop, great wine shop, and a laundromat.
My Hotel in France, Montmartre offers Continental breakfast: coffee and rolls/croissants which are included in the rooom rate. The hotel also provides a box lunch (included) for you to take with you for your day of sightseeing.
The WiFi is also included but the signal was weak during the peak period between 5 pm and 11 pm when we visited in October. The lobby offers a WiFi computer as well for the use of guests. We found, however, good internet service at the park next to the Abbesses Metro Station.
The hotel Paris Montmartre is a great value but like many small hotels in Paris, offers no elevator and smallish rooms. The hotel is meticulously clean and the rooms small but adequate. The in-room desk is a nice touch for computer users.
A Paris Hotel could be in an older building without elevators and with limited electrical recepticles
